The other day I posted on my story that you shouldn’t drink coffee after 2 p.m. and a bunch of people DM me asking why and saying that they drink coffee in the afternoon and they don’t feel anything is wrong.
I said 2 p.m. as a reference, but it will depend on your sleeping schedule, the thing is you should stop drinking coffee at least 6 hours before bed time.
Researchers from the Sleep Disorders & Research Center at Henry Ford Hospital and Wayne State College of Medicine did a study to analyze how caffeine disrupts sleep. They found out that the perception of caffeine’s effect on the body was not a direct measure of how it affected sleep. In other words, participants might not have felt the caffeine in their body, but it still affected their sleep quality for the worse.
So even if you feel like coffee in the afternoon is not messing up your sleep, IT IS! Sleeping well is very important for your general health and fitness, so you need to start making cuts in your coffee intake to have a quality sleep.
Trust me, this information it’s painful for me too.
